About Me

Andrew Barratt Lewis is a Director, Intimacy Choreographer, and Associate Professor of Musical Theatre. He currently teaches at Weber State University, specializing in Musical Theatre Acting, Voice, and History, and serves as the Theatre Program Director. He also works as an Associate Faculty Member for Theatrical Intimacy Education (theatricalintimacyed.com). He holds a BA in Musical Theatre from Weber State University and an MFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Central Florida. He previously taught at West Texas A&M University and Northwestern State University of Louisiana.  Credits include GODSPELL, BRIGHT STAR, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, and A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING (Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts), SHREK (Ogden Musical Theatre), RIPPED (Good Company Theatre), RICHARD III, AS YOU LIKE IT, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (TEXAS! The Outdoor Musical Drama); SPEED DATING TONIGHT! (Amarillo Opera); PLAID TIDINGS, CONSTELLATIONS, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, and DEATHTRAP (Amarillo Little Theatre). In 2023, Andrew received the Inclusive Teaching Excellence Award at Weber State. In 2017, his production of BROOKLYN: THE MUSICAL at West Texas A&M University received six National KCACTF Awards including Distinguished Director of a Musical and Distinguished Production of a Musical.
